It's a Beetle World

I am officially settled in Nashville!

Last month, I began my NSF Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Tate Lab at Vanderbilt. I am very curious about the causes and consequences of variation in mating behavior. For my PhD work, I focused on investigating the causes of this variation in a free-living, avian-microbiome system. For my postdoctoral work, I will pivot to assessing the consequences of variation in mating systems on host and parasite traits over evolutionary time. Over the next few years, I will take a deep dive into the worlds of evolutionary immunology, transcriptomics, and mathematical modeling, and learn how to work with a laboratory, insect-parasite system.

Stay tuned for upcoming beetle updates!
